Using CleanMyMac X

CleanMyMac X, by MacPaw is a great app for keeping your Mac lean and mean. it doesn’t just allow you to bulk delete files that are eating into your available hard drive space - you can run maintenance scripts, execute malware checks, even delete old Wi-Fi networks! It’s really useful and if you are mulling over whether or not it’s for you, check out my video on exactly what it’s capable of.

Anybox - Using the Anydock

Anybox is a great bookmarking app for Mac and iOS that doesn’t just allow you to store web-based links, but anything on your Mac that utilises a URL scheme. This offers some amazing potential use cases and although I’ve only been using it for around a month myself, it’s now firmly at the centre of my workflow and I cannot recommend the app enough.

One feature of Anybox is the Anydock, which is a floating bookmark bar that persists on your desktop and allows you quick access to a number of your links. Here, you can find a short video on how to set it up and use it.

Using Bartender 4

Bartender 4 is one of those apps I love because it solves a specific problem. I hate having my menu bar full because the majority of the time, it’s full of stuff I just don’t need to be there. With Bartender 4, I can pick and choose what appears, and it even supports dynamic menu bar icons that will appear when something is happening, and disappear when it’s done.

It’s awesome, and here is a quick video on how to use it.
